Step 1 – Who is the card for?
Start by checking who the charging card was for:

Step 2 – What was the card used for ?
A charging card does not work automatically.
It needs to be activated for a specific purpose before it can be used.
Because a Smappee charging card can be used in different ways, it is important to verify how the card was configured and then disable or remove the appropriate options.
If the card was used at public charging stations anywhere ->
Deactivate public use
Remove the card from your wallet.
Steps:
- Open the Smappee app and log in
- Go to Settings → Wallet
- Select the charging card
- Choose Remove this RFID card
- Confirm the removal
Order a new charging card and activate it again for public use

If the card was used at your home charging station ->
Remove the card from the whitelist
Whitelisting allowed the card to charge for free at your home charging station.
No payment or reimbursement is involved.
Remove the card from the whitelist in the Smappee app
Steps:
- Login to the Smappee app and navigate to Settings.
- Click on your charging station(s).
- In the next screen click on the card on the whitelisting.
- Click Remove this token from the whitelisting
- Select Yes.

Important !
If you remove the last or only RFID card from the whitelist, whitelisting is automatically disabled.
This means:
- The charging station switches to unauthenticated charging.
- Charging starts by simply plugging in the vehicle
- No charging card is required
Important !
Make sure your charging station is not freely accessible from the street or other public areas to prevent unauthorized use.

The card was linked to a split billing agreement
Split billing allows charging costs to be automatically reimbursed, for example by an employer or leasing company. Steps:
- Inform your employer or fleet manager that the card has been lost.
- They will order a new card and create a new split billing agreement.
- You will need to confirm this new agreement once it is assigned to you.
The card was part of a special tariff group at the public charging stations at work
Some employers offer special charging tariffs at their public charging stations.
Steps:
- Inform the owner or employer or fleet manager about the lost card.
- They will need to update the group with your new card.
