There may be situations where you need to end a split billing agreement for a specific employee — for example, when the employee leaves the company and is no longer eligible for split billing through the employer.
- Login to the Smappee Dashboard (https://dashboard.smappee.net/) using your fleet manager account.
- Select the "Split billing" board from the menu on the left.
- Select the split billing agreement you want to terminate
- Click on the pencil-icon to enter an end-date in the agreement
-
You can also click on the lock-icon to fully terminate the agreement.
Important Notes
-
Temporary pauses are not supported
There is currently no ability to temporary pause a split billing agreement with an employee. -
Closed agreements cannot be restarted
Once a split billing agreement has been ended (closed), it cannot be reactivated.
Instead, a new agreement must be created for the employee. -
End-date in the future
You can however set an end-date in the future, for example if an employee is leaving the company, you’ll probably want to set a specific date when the agreement needs to end. -
Charging Station configuration remains unchanged
Ending a split billing agreement does not automatically update the configuration of the Smappee charging station. As a result, Swipe & Charge will remain active.
If the employee swipes their Smappee Smart Charge Card — which was linked to the ended agreement — an error will occur and the charging session will not start.
This is because the Charging Station may still be used for other split billing agreements (e.g. by another household member).
Attention !
It is the responsibility of the Charging Station owner to update the configuration if needed.
