At Smappee, we place the highest priority on ensuring that our Fast Charger products are delivered and installed to meet the quality and standards we uphold.
To guarantee this, every installation of our Fast Charging products must undergo an inspection by Smappee, a process we refer to as Commissioning.
Pre-Commissioning
Actions to Complete Before Commissioning
- Complete the physical installation of the Ultra charger.
- Power on the auxiliary supply to allow software updates and an initial remote verification by Smappee.
- Complete the Ultra registration through the Smappee App.
- Onboard the Smappee Pay Station (if applicable): How to onboard the Smappee Pay Station.
Requesting Commissioning
- Complete the Commissioning Form to request commissioning.
- As part of the form, you will be asked to complete and submit Part A of the Commissioning Checklist.
- Please submit your commissioning request at least two weeks before the planned installation date of the Ultra charger.
Commissioning Type
BeNeLux Region
For installations located within the BeNeLux region:
- Commissioning will be performed on-site by a Smappee technician.
Outside the BeNeLux Region
For installations located outside the BeNeLux region:
- Commissioning will be carried out by the installer on-site, with remote guidance provided by Smappee.
- Remote support is available during Belgian second-line support hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 CET.
- If commissioning cannot be scheduled during these hours due to time zone differences, please indicate this in the Commissioning Form.
Commissioning Verification
During the commissioning process, the following items will be verified.
1. Installation Photos
Photos must be provided of:
- The Ultra charger.
- The upstream protection devices (fuse or circuit breaker).
- The internal wiring connections.
- The installation environment and surrounding area.
2. Commissioning Checklist - Part B
The following checks will be performed:
- Have the transport lifting eyes been removed?
- Has the charger been configured correctly (for example, maximum current settings)?
- Are all internal components detected and operating correctly?
- Is the charger able to successfully charge a vehicle?
