When you need this
Run the setup again if:
- the network name (SSID) or the Wi-Fi password was changed
- the modem or router was replaced or reset
- the monitor was moved to another location
In these situations the monitor keeps trying to reach the network it was configured for, which shows as a red LED.
Requirements
- A Smappee charger that supports Wi-Fi, check the datasheet of you charger to be sure.
- Smappee App
- Access to the Smappee Connect of the installed charger both physically and via the Smappee App
Step by step
- Locate the gateway of the charger that should be linked to the Wi-Fi. For V3 and older this will be the Smappee Connect. Our V4 generation of chargers does not yet support Wi-Fi.
- Please be carefull if you have a Infinity setup, there might be also a Smappee Connect used for this, be sure to reset the right Smappee Connect
- Reset the Smappee Connect by pressing the reset button with a pin
- The Smappee Connect should turn blue blinking
- In the Smappee App navigate to Settings > Charging stations > Select charging station > Connect > Change your setup > Follow the steps
If something goes wrong during the setup

| Red LED during activation | The Wi-Fi signal is too weak for a stable connection. Move the monitor closer to the router, or improve coverage with a Wi-Fi extender or access point. |
| LED keeps flashing yellow during activation | The network does not meet all requirements. Check them in How should my Network (Wi-Fi and firewall) be configured? |
| The Next button stays greyed out while connected to the hotspot | Check that mobile data is switched off and that location services are switched on. If both are correct, the step may have timed out. Go back one step, select the flashing yellow option again and check whether the Next button appears. |

Contact your installer or submit a request. Include the serial number of the monitor, the LED colour you see, and at which step of the setup it goes wrong.
