Replacement Instructions
EV Base opening
- Remove all 6x screws of the rear plate [Allen 2,5]
- Remove the anchor nut on each side at the bottom of the rear plate, and the screw on each side at the bottom of the rear plate [Hex 17 & Hex 10]
- Remove the rear plate
EV Base power disconnection
- Disconnect the power cables from the RCD on both connector sides (depending on the grid type) [PH2 screwdriver]
- If the Evbase has a bottom plate with cable glands, release the cables from the cable glands
EV Base Ethernet disconnection
- Disconnect the RJ45 from the connect
- If the Evbase has a bottom plate with cable glands, release the RJ45 from the cable gland
EV Base untightening
- Remove the anchor nut on each side at the bottom of the front plate, and the screw on each side at the bottom of the front plate [Hex 17 & Hex 10]
- The EV Base can now be removed from its position. Also remove the mounting plate as a new one is provided with EV DUAL
- Existing anchors should be either hammered flush in the concrete or cut flush with the concrete (otherwise they will clash with the new base plate provided with EV DUAL) [Hammer or angle grinder]
Cables length check
- Check power supply cables & network cable length [meter
- If cables are at least 1.3 m (or 4.27 ft), EV Dual can directly be installed following installation manual
- If cables are less than 1.3m, the “[EVD-UPGRADE-EVB] Upgrade kit for Wiring - EVB to EVD” will be needed
Follow the steps detailed in the installation manual until “Connect the power supply”.
DIN rail and terminal clamps assembly
- Assemble the DIN rail onto the LED holder plate using the 2x M5 screws and M5 nuts and washers [Hex 8 & Allen 3]
- Assemble the 6X Phases, 2x Neutral and 2x Protective Earth terminal clamps (one PE clamp on each side) onto the DIN rail. Assemble the Ethernet coupler onto the DIN rail
- Connect the existing power cables to the different terminal clamps, and the ethernet cable to the coupler
- Connect the RJ45 cable provided to the coupler, route it through the M20 cable gland and connect it on the bottom left side of the relay board. Tip : cable can be secured to the slots on the LED holder plate
- Connect the phases, neutral and PE cables provided to the terminal clamps, route them through the M32 cable glands and connect the provided them to the RCBO & PE clamps as instructed in the installation manual
