List of chargers with built in MID meter

Important note

This article is built with ERE-certificates in the Netherlands in mind. The list contains most chargers with an MID meter built in. This might therefore be useful for other cases.

Why MID Meters or ERE certificates?

ERE certificates turn the CO₂ savings from EV charging into tradable, financially valuable certificates — but only if the underlying kWh data can be trusted. That's why a built-in, MID-certified meter (calibrated under the EU Measuring Instruments Directive) is non-negotiable: without one, a charging session's data isn't considered accurate or verifiable enough to register, and no certificates get issued. An external or retrofitted meter doesn't count either — the meter has to be part of the charger itself.
