Parts needed

  • [EV-SOCKET-ASSY] EV Socket assembly

Tools needed

  • Allen 2.5
  • Small flat screwdriver
  • Flat screwdriver
  • Hex 8

Replacement Instructions

  1. Remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the housing [Allen 2.5]

  2. Remove the 2 screws holding the door. Place the door in a safe location and remove the housing tube. [Allen 2.5]

  3. Disconnect the CP and PP line of the socket to the relay board. Push in the openings of the connector to release the ferrules. [Small flat screwdriver]

  4. Disconnect the solenoid wires from the relay board. Push in the openings of the connector to release the ferrules. [Small flat screwdriver]

  5. Disconnect the phases, PE and neutral cables of the socket to the relay board Push in the openings of the charging controller to release the ferrules. [Flat screwdriver]

  6. Remove the socket from the structure - Untighten the 4x M5 nuts of the socket [Hex 8]

  7. Place the new socket assembly and tighten it thanks to the 4x M5 washers and M5 locknuts. Note : The solenoid is rotated 90° but this doesn’t cause any functional or assembly difference [Hex 8 - Torque : 2.5 N.m]

  8. Connect the phases, PE and neutral wires from the socket to the relay board by pushing them in the connector. Sequence from bottom of the unit to top is L1 (brown), L2 (black), L3 (grey), neutral (blue), PE (yellow) Check all cables are properly secured.

  9. Connect the CP & PP line from the socket to the charging controller by pushing them in the connector (follow CP and PP mention on the relay board) Check all cables are properly secured.

  10. Connect the solenoid wires to the relay board following the colour code (blue, red, yellow, white). Wires just need to be pushed in the connector Check all cables are properly secured.

  11. Put the casing back in, secure the door and add the 2 screws at the bottom of the unit [Allen 2.5 (Handtight)]
