Parts needed

  • [EV-SOCKET-ASSY] EV Socket assembly

Tools needed

  • Hex 7
  • PH2 screwdriver
  • Small flat screwdriver
  • Hex 8

Replacement Instructions

  1. Untighten the 2 nuts at the back of the front plate, remove the front plate and disconnect the RJ10 from the RF board. Pay attention not to damage the connectors. Place the front plate aside [Hex 7]
  2. Disconnect the phases, PE & neutral cables of the socket from the contactor [PH2 screwdriver]

  3. Unclip the charging controller from the DIN rail mounting. Pull on the orange lever at the bottom of the charging controller and rotate it upwards to do so [Small flat screwdriver]

  4. Disconnect the solenoid, CP and PP wires from the charging controller. Push in the openings of the charging controller to release the ferrules. [Small flat screwdriver]

  5. Remove the right panel from the casing - untighten the 2x M4 locknuts (no need to fully remove them). Panel fits into 2 slots on the casing so it needs to be pivoted to be removed. [Hex 7]

  6. Remove the socket from the right panel - Untighten the 4x M5 nuts of the socket [Hex 8]
  7. Place the new cover on the side panel. Add the socket assembly and tighten it thanks to the 4x M5 washers and M5 locknuts [Hex 8 - Torque : 1.5 N.m]

  8. Place the panel back into the unit and retighten the 2x M4 locknuts. It might be necessary to slightly adjust the connect position [Hex 7 - Torque : 2.5 N.m]
  9. Connect the solenoid wires and the CP & PP line from the socket to the charging controller by just inserting them in the openings of the charging controller. Follow the color code on the charging controller (Yellow, white, PP, CP, blue, red) Check all cables are properly secured. When all cables are connected, reclip the charging controlled to the DIN rail (push the orange clip back in position with a screwdriver) [Screwdriver]

  10. Connect the phases, PE and neutral wires to the contactor. Sequence from bottom to top is Neutral (blue), L3 (grey), L2 (black), L1 (brown) [PH2 screwdrive - Torque : 2.5 N.m]

  11. Reconnect the RF board, place back the front panel and retighten the 2 nuts of the front plate [Hex 7]
