Replacement Instructions

  1. Untighten the 6 screws on the back side of the unit. Remove the M6 screw and the anchor nut on each side of the unit. Remove the back plate of the unit and place it aside [Allen 2.5 Hex 10 Hex 19]
  2. Cut the cable tie used to secure the socket cables and the signal board cable together [Cutting pliers]

  3. Disconnect the phases, PE and neutral cables of the socket to the relay board (PE could be connected to the DIN terminal clamp - in that case push the orange pieces on the terminal clamp to release the cable) Push in the openings of the charging controller to release the ferrules. [Flat screwdriver]

  4. Disconnect the CP and PP line of the socket to the relay board. Push in the openings of the connector to release the ferrules. [Small flat screwdriver]

  5. Disconnect the solenoid wires from the relay board. Push in the openings of the connector to release the ferrules. The red and black wire coming from the power supply (between CP/PP connector and solenoid connector) do NOT need to be disconnected [Small flat screwdriver]

  6. Remove the socket from the side panel - Untighten the 4x M5 nuts of the socket [Hex 8]

  7. Place the new cover on the outside of the side panel. Add the socket assembly and tighten it thanks to the 4x M5 washers and M5 locknuts [Hex 8 - Torque : 1.5 N.m]

  8. Connect the phases, PE and neutral wires from the socket to the relay board by pushing them in the connector. Sequence from bottom of the unit to top is L1 (brown), L2 (black), L3 (grey), neutral (blue), PE (yellow), Check all cables are properly secured. When done, place the cables so they don’t prevent closing of the unit.

  9. Connect the solenoid wires to the relay board following the colour code (blue, red, yellow, white). Wires just need to be pushed in the connector Check all cables are properly secured.

  10. Connect the CP & PP line from the socket to the charging controller by pushing them in the connector (follow CP and PP mention on the relay board) Check all cables are properly secured.

  11. Cables from socket and signal board can be re-bundled using a cable tie

  12. Place the back plate back on the unit. Tighten the M6 screw and the anchor nut on each side of the unit. Tighten the 6 screws on the back side of the unit. [Hex 10 - Torque 5 N.m Hex 19 - Torque 50 Nm Allen 2.5 - Torque 2.5 N.m]
