Remove a charging card from the whitelisting on my charging station via dashboard ?

If your Smappee charging station is located outdoors or in a place where others could potentially charge their vehicle, it is in your best interest to secure the charging station. This ensures that only youand people you choosecan use it to charge a vehicle.

This is why charging cards are whitelisted: only cards on the whitelist are accepted by your charging station.

If you have lost your charging card or received a new one, you will need to remove the old charging card (token) from the whitelist.
This can be done via the Smappee dashboard.
Please find the steps below :

Login in to the dashboard: https://dashboard.smappee.net
On the left-hand side, select the board "EV Line or Chargers"
Scroll down on the right side till the card "Whitelisting"

  • Click on the paper-bin to remove the card entirely
  • Click on the pencil to enter an expiration date

Attention !

  • When you remove the last RFID token from the whitelist, whitelisting is automatically deactivated on your charging station.
This means the charging stations activation method is changed to unauthenticated charging, allowing it to be used without a charging card.
In this mode, simply plugging in a vehicle is enough to start charging.
Please ensure that your charging station is not freely accessible from the street or other public areas to prevent unauthorized use.

  • For Smappee cards the RFID token is printed on the back of the card.
If your card does not have the RFID token printed, you can use certain third-party tools like the app NFC Tools to find the serial number.
