Sometimes you may leave a company after having received a charging station from your employer,
or you already had your Smappee charging station while working for this company.
You might also have had a split‑billing agreement, a Smappee charging card activated for public charging, or access to Smappee public charging stations at your employer’s site—possibly even with a special reduced tariff.
What should you check or take care of in this situation, if the Smappee charging station is or remains in your possession ?
1//Initial check of the login on your Smappee Station
Verify with what username/login you are linked to your charging station.
If this was set up with your work email, you will want it changed to a private email address.
You can do this yourself by adding or removing any account you want on your charging station.

2// Initial check of the session-activation method of your Smappee station
More information about adjusting the different session activation methods can be found here:

You need to decide which session- activation methode will be the most conveniant for you any any other household members.
3// Did you have a split billing agreement on your charging station ?
This agreement ensured that your home charging sessions were reimbursed by your employer.
It is the responsibility of your employer or fleet manager to terminate this agreement.
Once the agreement has been stopped, your Smappee Smart Charge Card is automatically deactivated.
This means you will no longer be able to start charging sessions by swiping your card.
The configuration of your charging station will remain unchanged.
This is intentional: your partner or another household member may still be using split billing at the same charging station (e.g., through a different employer).
If you change the configuration, their charging card may also stop working.
If the charging station is (or remains) your property, you may choose to update its configuration:
- You can disable Swipe & Charge (Split Billing) and set the charging station back to Unauthenticated mode.
- If you prefer to keep using a charging card, switch the activation method to Whitelisting and add your card to the whitelist.
