CPO- Charge Point Owner: the owner/ manager of a charger or charging square of which the charging stations are accessible for public charging.
eMSP- e-Mobility Service Provider: to use public charging cards as a private individual or as a company, to be able to perform charging sessions at public charging sessions.
Splitbilling: to be able to reimburse your employees for their performed charging sessions at home.
3rd-party CPO: to link your Smappee charger to an external party, who will manage your charging sessions to be able to receive a reimbursement from your employer or to be able to perform public charging sessions at your charging station. (We use OCPP enable this)
OCPP- Open Charge Point Protocol: is an application protocol for communication between Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and central management systems, even when produced by different vendors.
URL-host: the link needed to connect your Smappee charger with a 3rd-party. Each external provider has their own URL.
Roaming: Roaming for EV charging enables EV drivers to charge their EV with charging stations of different networks, using a single account.
Roaming is key in enabling interconnected national and international EV charging networks, and will create more joined-up charging networks ensuring seamless and reliable charging within and across countries for drivers.
Note: a fee will be charged when you use your Smappee Charging Card to perform a public charging session on an external charging station. (not on the Smappee Services CPO)
CPO-fee: a cost charged to the EV-driver when performing a public charging session on a Smappee Services supported charger.

Restricted access: to determine whether your public charging station is accessible 24/7 or not. The charging station might be behind barriers, a gate,..
Opening hours: a charging station set to public is accessible 24/7, by adding opening hours people will see that they are only allowed to charge within certain hours. This does not mean outside of these hours they cannot charge.
Session activation method: the way a charging session can be started on a charger. (See unauthenticated, Authenticated-whitelisting, Authenticated-split billing, Authenticated-public charging)
Unauthenticated : to plug in your charging cable and immediately start your charging session, without authentication.
(Authenticated) Whitelisting: to plug in your charging cable and start a charging session with authentication of your charging card. This type of session does not generate any invoices, this is private charging.
(Authenticated) Split billing: to plug in your charging cable and start a charging session with authentication of your charging card linked to the agreement. This type of session generates invoices to the company and a reimbursement to the private person.
(Authenticated) Public charging: to plug in your charging cable and start a charging session with authentication of your public charging card or by scanning the QR-code on the charging station. This type of session generates payments by the EV-driver and a pay out to the owner/ manager.
Private charging infrastructure: privately owned charging stations that are not accessible to the public, such as home charging, multi-dwelling buildings, business premises and other private parking areas.
Public charging infrastructure: offers charging stations in public places, such as on the streets, highways,.. to enable longer journeys.
Semi-public charging infrastructure: offered in privately owned facilities, such as shopping malls, supermarkets, city and commercial parking lots.
