If you wish to fully stop the service or deactivate your public charging station, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Change the configuration of your charging station from public available to private use
- Log into the Smappee dashboard using your account connected to your organization or company.
- Select the "Chargers" board from the menu on the left.
- On the right, your Charging Squares will appear.
Click on the one you want to use—it should display "selected" in green. - Scroll down to the section titled “Charging stations at…”
Again, check your charging station—it should also show "selected" in green. - Scroll further down to the “Charger Configuration” section.
Under the “Services” tab, click on the pencil icon next to
“Activation method for charging sessions — Public Charging enabled, Swipe and Charge (whitelist).”
- A pop-up window will appear where you can change the session activation method.
- Select the option “No public charging” and save.
- Optionally, you can also select “Plug & Charge” if you wish to charge without using a charging card — simply by plugging in the cable, without any form of authentication.
(Please note that in this case, your charging station should not be accessible from a public area, otherwise others could use it.) - If you keep “Authorised Charging” enabled, you will always need to use a charging card to start a session.
- You can add any charging card to the "Whitelisting" so that you can charge for free, meaning no payment or reimbursement will be applied.
You can find the section "Whitelisting" by scrolling further down your screen..
Note:
After completing this step, this charging point will no longer be publicly accessible.
If you have multiple charging points, you need to repeat this process for each one individually.
Scroll back up on your dashboard to the section “Charging Stations at …”, select another charging point, and repeat the process.
Note:
Cancelling your pricing policy does not terminate you service of CPO with Smappee Services.
If you wish to fully stop the service, you not only need to deactivate your public charging station, but also terminate the service completely.
Note:
Please note that you might still receive an invoice and a self-bill invoice for the current month.
Step 2: Terminate the service completely
This step is necessary if you wish to completely discontinue the service, and not just remove public access to the charging station.
By doing so, you will no longer receive invoices from Smappee Services, except for the current month.
If your charging stations are no longer publicly accessible but the service remains active, you will continue to be charged the monthly administrative fee.
- Select “Charging Services” from the menu on the left.
→ You may now deactivate the service.
Note:
Give us a heads-up once everything is done, so we can verify that everything has been processed correctly and we’ll take care of closing everything on our end for invoicing purposes.
