Multiple pricing policies

If you have several charging stations — e.g. a parking in front of your building for customers and a parking in the back for personnel — you can set up different pricing policies and assign a specific policy to each charging station.

You can do so by following these steps:

  • Log into the Smappee dashboard using your account connected to your organization or company.
  • Select the "Chargers" board from the menu on the left.
  • On the right, your Charging Squares will appear.
    Click on the one you want to use—it should display "selected" in green.
  • Continue scrolling to the “Pricing Policies” section.
    The name of your company should appear automatically.
    Remark : "If nothing appears there, you may type the name of your company here; your pricing policy will then appear.
  • Click on + New pricing policy, you'll be guided through 4 steps.

  1. The first step is the Price Structure. (mandatory)

Here you can set your price per kWh.
You can also add a starting fee and a price per hour if you like.
Want to charge more after a certain time? Simply set a second hourly rate that kicks in later.
Once done -> click next

  1. The next step is 'Groups'. (optional)

Use this if you want to give a special discount to certain people.
The  existing "Everybody" group means the price you set applies to everyone.
When you select a Group, a pop-up will open where you can create a Group and set a special price or discount.

Once done -> click next

  1. Assign your Pricing Policy to the relevant charging station(s).

    Select the charging station(s) you want to assign this pricing policy to.
    Once you're ready, click next.

  1. In the last step 'General' you can name your New pricing policy.

    If not named, it will automatically be called ' Default pricing'.
    Once done, click create pricing policy.
