Once your charging station is enabled for public use and a pricing policy has been set, you can configure its visibility settings:
- If you enable public visibility, your charging station will appear in the apps of all other charge card providers, including details such as its location and pricing policy.
- If you do not enable public visibility, only you will know that the charging station is publicly accessible—it will not be visible in any apps.
- You can also choose to enable restricted visibility, for example if the charging station is not located in a public area or if access is physically limited.
- Attention ! Some charging cards may not work if public visibility is disabled.
Location (GPS coordinates) is sometimes required to validate a charging session, so it must be visible. Likewise, if a station isn’t publicly visible, pricing information isn’t available in the app, and the session may be blocked.
Setting Restricted Visibility with a Time Schedule
If you want to enable restricted visibility, you can link it to a time schedule.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the Smappee dashboard using an account connected to your organisation or company.
- In the left-hand menu, select the “Chargers” board.
- On the right, choose the “Charging Squares” card.
- Click the pencil icon on the far right to edit the settings.
Scroll down to the section “Opening Hours”.
You can enter a schedule for each day.
