Smappee has its own CPMS, but if for some reason you wish to use another CPMS, that is certainly possible. Once this is correctly set up, the Smappee charging station will communicate with this external E-mobility platform via the OCPP 1.6-J communication protocol.
Please find the following manual attached: OCPP Manual
First check if the CPMS you wish to use is in the following list: Compatible 3rd party CPMS list
-> If it is not on the list, you can request us to whitelist it via Contact Support
-> If it is on the list, go to the Smappee Dashboard (dashboard.smappee.net) and follow these steps:
- Login to the Smappee Dashboard and navigate to your location. Then go the the card Charger configuration.
- Go to tab 4 - Services and click the
symbol next to Activation method for charging sessions.
- In the next screen, click Authorized charging, then External e-mobility platform.
- Now input the Host URL of the e-mobility platform (for example wss://test.example.eu/ocppj)
- Click Save.

Getting an error message?
That means the Host URL you input is not yet whitelisted on the Smappee database.
Not just any URL is compatible with Smappee.
If you wish to whitelist the URL you input on our database, please contact support@smappee.com
and provide us with the Host URL and request Whitelisting + integration testing (if required).
