How to install a three-phase charging station as single-phase?

If you only have a single-phase grid connection available, it is still possible to install a three-phase charging station.

EV Base

Only connect the L1 and N cables to the terminal block. This charging station can be linked to a single-phase Infinity installation. No further actions needed.

EV Wall Business

Only connect the L1 and N cables to the terminal block. This charging station can be linked to a single-phase Infinity installation. No further actions needed.

EV One

Only connect the L1 and N cables to the terminal block. This charging station can be linked to a single-phase Infinity installation. No further actions needed.

EV Wall

A three-phase EV Wall is preconfigured to have three-phase measurements. If it is installed on a single-phase grid, you can install it as indicated on the stickers and leave the L2 and L3 CTs empty, or you can adjust the load configuration and delete the L2 and L3 CTs for the grid and charger. In this case, those CTs could be used for submetering.

We strongly recommend to also use the Solid-Core in which you measure L1 of the charging station.

If you do not install the Solid-Core CT, we do recommend that this component is left with the customer in case they upgrade to a three-phase grid in the future.
